Emmas Dale Retreats Booking Conditions

  • A non refundable deposit is required per person at the time of booking for all trips. The amount for the deposit varies depending on the trip, but will be stated on the booking page. Deposits are also non transferable unless with prior agreement with Emmas Dale and under special circumstances and would need to be within the same 12 months.

  • The balance is due in full 6 weeks prior to the date of departure apart from the Island Kayaking & Wild Cooking to Finland where the balance is due 8 weeks prior. Emmas Dale will notify the client when this is due to be paid and the details for doing so. Once the balance due date has passed, a reminder will be sent by email and text, the client will then have 48 hours to settle the balance and then after this, the space shall be made available to be rebooked with no refund of the deposit.

  • If you decide that you can longer can the place on your booked trip, you must notify us in writing before the balance due date. If you cancel your space on the balance due date or after, the full balance payment will still need to be paid.

  • Emmas Dale Wellness & Adventure Retreats are about meeting new people and sharing like minded experiences. This means you will be assigned a bed in twin/bunk/glamping style accommodation with your new friend to be. However, if you prefer you’re own space on a night, we totally understand. A single supplement will be added per person for sole occupancy, and this will be added on to the final balance

  • For both UK & Overseas trips, we recommend taking out suitable travel insurance as soon as the booking has been made.

  • Should the booking/experience need to be cancelled by Emmas Dale, a full refund will be given unless you would prefer to move on to another date. If you need to cancel your booking yourself, the deposit will be returned if cancelled within 48 hours of booking the retreat. After this time, no deposit will be refunded. If you need to cancel your break within the 6 weeks before the departure, 100% of the cost will be forfeited and you would be recommended to claim on your travel insurance. If a break is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, a new date will be offered as an alternative. If required, we would be happy to discuss a monthly payment plan for you to pay your Wellness & Adventure retreat off in instalments.

  • We use the third party payment provider, Stripe. This ensures all bookings are secure and no details are stored anywhere unnecessarily. Payment can be made by Credit or Debit card for deposits, we ask for the balance to be paid via bank transfer where possible.

  • The packages we offer are relaxed, fun and occasionally contain alcohol. For this reason we only accept bookings from adults 18 years + unless otherwise specified.

  • We want people to feel at home and not regimented to set timed itineraries. We do give times for activities and we do expect these to be adhered to however, meal times etc are flexible even though we will do our best to keep to the plan… but fun happens.

  • Once a booking has been made and confirmed, you will be entering into these booking conditions as a contract. We reserve the right as company management to make changes to the booking/experience packages if a need should arise. This may include accommodation, activities, and menu plans. We will inform booked parties of these changes by email or telephone and you will have the right to accept or decline within 48 hours of notification. If we haven't heard back within 48 hours, we will assume that any changes have been accepted. Many of our activities are outdoors, if we feel necessary, we may move itineraries around to suit the best weather conditions to ensure comfort and enjoyment.

Liability

  • Emmas Dale as a business has Public Liability Insurance, to request a copy of the certificate and wording, please do so in writing to info@emmasdale.co.uk. However, should significant damage be caused within the property or any unusual cleaning be needed, a surcharge will be given according to the incident and will need to be paid within 48 hours after investigation

  • Third party providers, including activity providers, will have their own insurance policies. Should you wish to take out further personal insurance/holiday insurance for the retreat or activities which may contain some risk, we recommend you do so.

  • At the time of booking, please provide all of the required information this includes any special requirements and also dietary/allergy information. Emmas Dale will do their best to ensure anyone with dietary needs and allergies are catered for appropriately, however although we will take as much care as possible, we can not guarantee cooking environments are totally free of allergens. Any extra information that you need to provide, please email info@emmasdale.co.uk as soon as you make your booking

Information

  • All information, pricing and availability printed on the website and in literature is correct at time of print. Emmas Dale reserves the right to change pricing and availability accordingly in line with business needs, this will not affect a booking once it has been made.

  • We do not provide flights and are not responsible for how you travel and arrive to start or transfer pick up point of your trip. We may provide information regarding how to arrive at the starting point of your trip, however it remains your responsibility to research and make your own travel arrangements. With your permission, we will connect you with other guests joining your same trip to see if you can arrange travel together. If you choose to share travel with another guest this is your choice and any travel arranged to reach the location remains your responsibility and we will continue to have no liability to you for such arrangements. 

  • Information given prior to arrival such as dietaries and allergy requirements will be taken seriously and adhered to as best as possible. Each individual must take responsibility for their own personal health on a trip and any pre existing medical conditions should be declared in advance. We will accommodate as best as we can.

  • Please make sure you have read the rooming and accommodation type before you book and understand the set up of your trip. If you feel you have booked something that isn’t suitable, please contact Emmas Dale as soon as possoble.

  • Emma is First Aid trained for the Public, she is not however certified. In case of medical situations arising, Emma will do what she can until professional medical advice/help can arrive.

  • Please ensure that when you have booked on to a trip, that you purchase suitable holiday insurance. This includes both for the UK and Europe and that the policy covers all the activities stated.

  • During retreats and trips, photos and media will be taken and often used to promote Emmas Dale for marketing and social media purposes. If you would prefer to not be included in this, please let us know prior to the trip.

  • Eco Systems - Emmas Dale has plans in place to be as eco friendly as possible. We use organic and bio friendly products, recycling is also key and we remove all waste to the best of our abilities after each Retreat Event. We also ask for and expect the same level of environmental respect from our clients and kindly ask that personal rubbish is removed from sites.

  • Emmas Dale provides relaxed catered experiences to suit like minded individuals looking to meet people, learn about themselves and discover a new location. Before booking please ensure you are happy to share accommodation, potentially with another person you may not know and be involved in group dinners and group activities. If there is anything you are not satisfied with during your stay, please let Emma know as soon as possible so this can be rectified immediately to ensure a happy stay then onwards. We want every single person to have a great time and leave smiling….
